RecOil Project partners showed main outcomes obtained in the first stage of the project in this conference celebrated the 25th June 2013 at the Tuscany Regional Offices in Brussels, within the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2013. The discussion was focused on practical issues like UCO collection, promotional and awareness campaigns, user’s behaviour, UCO transformation, legal framework or biodiesel market perspectives (please, find out the Agenda and the presentations from this event here).

 

The Presentation was attended by more than 35 participants coming from different sectors related to used cooking oil (including  UCO collectors, biodiesel producers, local/regional authorities, international project managers, regulatory bodies, etc.). 

 

 

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), an initiative of the European Commission, first took place in 2006. EUSEW connects directly with citizens and energy stakeholders at the local, regional and national levels, helping Europe to reach its energy goals and generate new ideas and actions.

 

This year, EUSEW included high-level policy conference in Brussels, with anattendance of around 4 000 people, more than 900 ‘Energy Days’ events across the Union and the prestigious Sustainable Energy Europe Awards.
